Casino Review Methodology
This is the framework we apply to every UK online casino we assess. It is a documentation-based review process, and we say plainly which parts of an operator's information we have been able to verify.
What we assess
UKGC licence and operator safety
We check that the operator holds a valid UK Gambling Commission licence and look at the company behind it, its complaints route and its published player-protection information.
Withdrawal speed
We record the withdrawal times the operator publishes for each method, plus any pending or verification periods that apply before a payout is released.
Bonus terms and value
Headline offers are read against their full terms: wagering requirement, maximum bet while wagering, time limits, game contribution and maximum conversion.
Payment methods
Which UK deposit and withdrawal methods are supported — debit card, Pay by Bank, e-wallets and mobile wallets — and whether any are excluded from bonuses.
Game selection
Breadth and quality of slots, table games and live casino, and which studios supply them.
Mobile experience
How usable the casino is in a mobile browser: navigation, loading, account management and whether an app is required.
Customer support
Availability of live chat and email, published response times and whether help content answers common UK account questions.
Safer-gambling tools
Deposit, loss and time limits, reality checks, time-out and self-exclusion options, and clear links to GAMSTOP, GamCare and BeGambleAware.
Verification before publication
An operator is not published in our recommended rankings until its licensing, payment information, withdrawal information and bonus terms have been verified against primary sources. Until then, entries appear as placeholders marked "pending verification" and carry no ratings, offers or outbound links.
We do not claim to have played at, deposited with, or personally tested payouts at an operator unless that testing has actually taken place and is documented on the relevant page.
Scores
Scores are editorial judgements derived from the criteria above. Where a card shows a "preview score", that value is placeholder data used to test page layout and is not an editorial rating.
Independence
Commission arrangements have no bearing on scores or ranking order. See our editorial policy and affiliate disclosure.
